23’s founder, Brandon Taylor, was formally trained in architecture and sculpture. After earning his BFA in Sculpture from The University of North Texas he began providing unique solutions on a range of architectural projects, real estate development, custom artwork fabrication and design services. His efforts have since focused into the establishment of 23 Design Co, an artist-run design build group that provides turnkey solutions for creative projects.
Having many mentors over the years in various disciplines, Brandon’s passion for teaching has been at the core of his business philosophy. Networking through his alma mater, The University of North Texas, has allowed for the development of an apprenticeship program and job placement for students and emerging professionals. Through this program the team at 23 formed with exceptionally capable trained talents from UNT.
23 Design Co. has become a platform for many local businesses, designers, architects, municipalities and institutions with services including: design and concept development, digital modeling, preliminary engineering, CAD/CAM, waterjet cutting, CNC milling, manufacturing, welding, fabrication, and installation.
I believe in connecting with people, and doing so by sharing in the collective imagination. Collaboration is my approach in discovering what makes a people, brand or organization unique. From that story I create symbolic representations that others can identify with and understand in a moment, the collaborator's culture. Art is made by people, for people. It has been my mission as an artist and owner of 23 Design Co. to assist in connecting people in community spaces, enhance created and natural environments for others, and ultimately encourage exploration through these environments so that others may feel a deeper sense of connection with the space and one another.
